Cleaned wheels then scotch pad scuffed wheel. Remove lead weights, lots of scrapping to get double stick adhesive off!
Using BONDO Glazing and spot putty to fill small holes and nicks and gouges. Courtesy of the careless idiots at House of Flats AKA House of idiots. If you have steel rims you don't care about see these idiots on 951.
Since the putty shrinks a little as it dries they recommend building up deep gouges like the ones house of flats are well known for. Light sanding is done next paint!
The first wheel turned out great but the winds started up and made the finish bumpy. And the last 3 plus over spray caused dusting on the others. So I did more paint prep and Donnie ended painting it again. They have been drying for the last 3 days so they are ready for tires and balancing at Totally Tires. A small shop with great service.
